I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in a year because I got the go-ahead from my doctor that everything is healing well from the C-section. Apparently when you have a C-section, you have to wait 6 weeks to do any type of cardio exercise and 8 weeks before you can do any weightlifting or abdominal work. Man it felt good! I can only do cardio on the bike, treadmill, or elliptical but I don't care. It's better than nothing and by sitting at home my muscles are getting sore and tight. Plus I need to lose about 10lbs to get back to the weight I was when I got pregnant, and I want to lose 10 extra pounds on top of that. That means I need to lose 20lbs which I totally think I can do as long as I go to the gym. In a couple of weeks I can start lifting weights and doing some crunches. Going to the gym was really good for me because I got a break from Naveen (Chris watched him), I felt good about being active again, and I also felt like I'm on my way to getting attractive again. I was very relaxed afterward, it was awesome.
Anyway, that's the big update today. I'm going back to the gym today so I can start up a routine and form the habit. Oh! There are new videos up on Naveen's website, so check 'em out!
