In 2006 I embarked on a new adventure...becoming a mom. This blog is about the pregnancy, aspects of life afterward, starting my life in a new role as mommy...and anything else in between.

Subject: The Food Network show, "Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller."

This show is retarded and I don't know how this woman got her own show. The concept is good: take a few ingredients, prep them on the weekend, and morph them in to 3 different meals for the week. I like it. But I don't like her as the host/cook and her recipes are not good. I've tried a couple. They are bland and just plain don't taste good. Plus, she takes like 2 ingredients and gives the dish a title that makes it sounds so fancy you think you are really going to learn to make something. Then you realize, wait, I could make something better than that! For example, I was watching her make yogurt berry swirls. Sounds interesting right? WRONG. It's freakin' vanilla frozen yogurt with some berries in it and then you swirl it together with a spoon. WHAT THE HELL DUDE?! Does that even count as a recipe? I'm certainly no chef, but I know I can make better desserts than that! Plus a few times she has not washed her hands after handling meat, or she doesn't properly clean utensils that have touched meat while she is preparing meat. That's bad. Every cooking show I've ever watched makes a big deal out of cleaning utensils and washing hands after handling meat. It's a cardinal rule that you must do that. Anyway, I just had to comment on this show, because I can't believe it exists and continues to. It's just a bad show.
